We provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adults, focusing on personalized care.
We do not provide stand-alone therapy. We integrate supportive therapy into our medication management appointments; however, at this time we cannot provide therapy-only services.
Yes. We offer both in-person and secure telepsychiatry appointments. Telehealth availability depends on patient location and clinical appropriateness.

Copays, coinsurance, and deductible amounts are charged on the day of the appointment using the payment method on file. If an overpayment occurs, it will be refunded. If additional charges apply after insurance processing, a receipt will be provided.
We accept major credit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and ACH payments.
Yes. ADHD evaluations involve a structured, multi-step process.
Initial visits focus on comprehensive history and diagnostic assessment. Objective testing may be required and carries a $50 out-of-pocket fee. Results are reviewed at a follow-up visit, at which time treatment options, including medication when clinically indicated, are discussed.
Previously diagnosed patients looking for continuing care will need to provide records from their previous provider to our office:
Stimulant prescriptions require one in-person visit every 6 months.
Self-pay options are available for patients who choose not to use insurance or whose plans are out of network.
Limited sliding-scale appointments are available based on financial need. Please contact our office if you are experiencing difficulty paying for care.
Dr. Shierlock is licensed in North Carolina, so NC patients may make an appointment with her. NC patients will need to create a growtherapy.com account for billing and claim submission. If you have any trouble with this, please let us know.
South Carolina: Residents must be physically present in the state of South Carolina at the time of your appointment.
North Carolina: Patients with insurances accepted by the Grow platform may be seen if they are physically located in North Carolina at the time of the appointment.
When medically appropriate, controlled medications may be prescribed. Our practice follows a conservative, safety-focused approach, particularly with benzodiazepines. All prescribing decisions are individualized and based on clinical assessment, medical history, and best practices.

Established patients may communicate with their care team through the patient portal, which is used for non-urgent clinical questions, medication requests, and appointment-related communication.
You must be consistently seen by our clinic for 3 to 6 months before your provider can fill out FMLA paperwork. FMLA and other forms are subject to a form fee if not discussed during regularly scheduled appointment time.
While we aim to provide the best possible care, some services are outside of our scope or capacity as a clinic. Please review the list of services we are unable to provide.
