With over a decade of experience in various clinical settings, Dr. Shierlock is highly skilled in both medication management and supportive psychotherapy.

She graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed her psychiatry residency at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Her goal is to partner with her patients to promoting healing by offering warmth, compassion, and empathy. Through psychotherapy, medication management, and collaborative goal-setting, she will helps individuals navigate their mental health journeys with confidence and resilience.

Courtney earned her BSN from the University of South Carolina, Master’s in Nursing Education from Chamberlain University, and Post-Master’s Certificate specializing in psychiatric-mental health from Purdue University Global.

She developed her clinical skills through hands-on experience in outpatient, inpatient, and community mental health settings. She offers comprehensive psychiatric care, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and mood disorders.

Courtney believes in working with you, ensuring you are involved in every treatment decision. She will also collaborate with families or other providers when appropriate to ensure comprehensive care.

Chiquita earned her master’s degree in psychiatric–mental health nursing from Francis Marion University (FMU), where she built a strong foundation in understanding the complexities of mental health and the value of truly individualized treatment.

Chiquita specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and bipolar disorder. She uses evidence-based approaches and thoughtfully integrates medication management with supportive therapeutic techniques to meet each patient’s unique needs.

She is passionate about promoting mental wellness and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health care.
